Invisalign is an exceptionally gentle way to straighten your teeth. You will never experience sore spots during treatment because there are no metal parts or wires that can irritate your mouth. The Invisalign system uses removable plastic aligners. This means you can continue to maintain normal oral hygiene during treatment because you can remove the aligner to clean your teeth as usual Since you can remove the Invisalign aligner whenever you want, you can also continue to enjoy your favorite foods and drinks. This is possible because the method uses a set of transparent removable aligners that straighten your teeth by exerting a slight but constant pressure on them without the need for fixed metal braces or wires. |

The fundamental principle of every method used to move the teeth is to exert gentle but constant pressure.
Using the latest computer technologies, a three-dimensional computer model of the goal of your treatment is created beforehand based on the current positions of your teeth. The course of treatment is then subdivided into individual phases going step-by-step from the current positions to the desired positions. A separate, custom-made aligner is then fabricated for each of these phases and you wear each aligner for roughly two weeks. During this time your teeth are moved steadily through gentle pressure in the previously calculated directions. At the end of each phase, you change to the next aligner of your set. |

Even before treatment begins, you can see the results of your treatment!
Before your treatment begins, we can show you virtual models of your personal treatment plan. You can enjoy beforehand what your new smile will look like when treatment is completed. The course of treatment proceeds as follows: You wear each aligner of your set for roughly two weeks. During this time your teeth are moved steadily through gentle pressure in the previously calculated directions. Treatment can take anywhere from 9 to 12 months depending on how misaligned your teeth were before treatment started. But before you know it, you'll be enjoying your beautiful new smile! |

Invisalign can be used to treat a wide variety of problems such as crowding, gap closing or tilted teeth. Roughly 80% of all people over 15 years of age who need their teeth straightened can be treated with Invisalign. There are a few complicated cases, however, where Invisalign may not be the best treatment method. |
