1980–1985 Studied dentistry at the University of Hamburg, graduated with doctorate.

 |
1986–1987 Further education in general dentistry at the RWTH Aachen, Dept. of Dental and Oral Surgery headed by Professor Koberg. During this period, Dr. Falkenstein also worked as a dentist for half a year at a private practice.

|
1987–1988 Employed on scientific staff for further education in orthodontic dentistry at the University of Regensburg. |
| |
|
| |
| |
|
1989 Academic councilor at the University of Regensburg. |
| |
|
| |
| |
|
1990 Certified as Specialist for Orthodontic Dentistry”and opened her own practice. |
| |
| |
|
Further studies at the René Descartes University - Paris 5
under Professor Fillion.
