Your first contact
On this page, I would like to give you an impression of what you can expect from your first visit to my practice and what
I can do for you.
Normally you phone us to arrange your first appointment with us.
We like to schedule this first consultation appointment for the morning hours whenever possible. Our practice is usually
not quite as busy during this part of the day and we are therefore able to spend more time with you in order to thoroughly
discuss your individual treatment and perform an examination.
By the way, when you come to visit our practice, you can park your car in our parking spaces located conveniently right
in front of the building.

What you should bring with you on your first visit:
|
|
 |
To help me attend to you optimally and give you the best advice right from the beginning, I need some information from you.
This is why subsequent to your first contact with us, we send you a Patient Information Form to fill out.
You can also download the form right here from our site:
Please fill out the Patient Information Form carefully and thoroughly, and bring it with you to your first appointment.

Your first visit
Once I have read your form to get my first impression of why you came to us, we talk with each other so I can
gather more precise information.
Children, of course, are always accompanied during these talks by their parents or the adult they came with.
We will talk about possible previous illnesses, previous treatments, special wishes you may have, etc.
This information and a thorough anamnesis help me to quickly, precisely and accurately determine the problem.
This is followed by an examination to determine even more specifically how we can help you.
We record all of our results on a special examination form.
The next step is to discuss the results of the examination with you.
We endeavor to explain the results to you using understandable terms so that even non-medicals will understand
what we have learned.
If orthodontic treatment is indicated, then I subsequently tell you about the various treatment alternatives.
This includes the individual steps needed and we then discuss together what kind of treatment
would be the most reasonable for your particular case.
I am then able to tell you approximately what your treatment will cost, and whether and
to what extent your health insurance will cover your treatment.
|
|
 |
 |
|
|
Now we are able to prepare initialrecords for your case.
If orthodontic treatment is required and advisable, we can already begin during this first visit to prepare the initial
records required for your individual treatment.
We need to make impressions of your upper and lower teeth, 2 to 3 digital "-rays and two additional photographs.
This material will later be used to create your individualized treatment plan.
|
|
 |
 |
Presenting your personal treatment plan
Once we have prepared your treatment plan and it has been approved by your health insurance company,
we make an appointment with you to discuss the next steps to be taken. Here I explain to you exactly what materials
will be involved with your therapy and the course your treatment will take.
During this talk, I will also inform you of the financial aspects of your required orthodontic therapy.
Should you decide to choose an advanced treatment alternative that will not, or only partially, be covered
by your health insurance, we will also discuss with you how you would like to pay for your treatment, whether
outright as a lump sum or in monthly installments, whichever is most convenient for you.
Our opinion on this matter is that medical advancements and the possibilities they offer you take precedence
over everything else, and that includes the current state of heath care politics!
